However, unlike other building’s spires, an observation deck positioned at 566 meters above the ground level, will surpass the observation deck on Burj Khalifa, claiming the title of the highest observation deck in the world.

Since its inauguration in early 2015, Shanghai Tower has held the title of the tallest building in China.

Since the spire of Ping An Finance Center in Shenzhen was canceled, resulting in reducing its height to 599 meters (33 meters shorter than Shanghai Tower), and in April 2020, a governmental decree restricting skyscrapers like Wuhan Greenland Center, Suzhou Zhongnan Center, and Shimao Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Center are all reduced to below 500 meters from originally planned 600 meters, this development solidifies Shanghai Tower’s position as China’s tallest building will not be taken by other towers in foreseeable future.

Ping an International Finance Center was originally planned to reach 660 meters with a spire, set to become the tallest building in China. However, due to flight restrictions, its height is restricted to under 600 meters, resulting in the spire not being added. The same thing had previously happened at Canon Tower in Guangzhou, which is undergoing similar height advances but had its spire shortened post-constructions.

The building features an observation deck on its 116th floor, it’s currently the 3rd highest observation deck in the World.

6. Goldin Finance 117:

Goldin Finance 117 has finished its structural work even though it is not fully completed yet, but have fully topped in May 2019 after the installation of a Diamond-shaped Structure on the top of the building was completed.

Although the Tower is renowned as the 6th tallest building in the World, Goldin Finance boasts the tallest concrete core of any building and holds the distinction of being the world’s tallest flat-roof building.
